A day that picked up in the evening, but was very slow due to the morning session 😅
So, it’s virtually finally here!! Taper is upon me and I will be starting next week. It’s a huge relief and honestly I’m very excited to get started with it, but I had one really tough session to finish out the week.
It’s one that I’m quite familiar with, as I have done it as recently as camp just 2weeks ago, but it’s absolutely disgusting and puts me in a ‘body bag’ every time 😂
This set had 4 rounds and it’s basically an extended broken 200, but you start small distances (2’50s off 75) then go into longer (100 as 75 pace, 25rwcovery off 2) into a backend 100.
All rounds were pretty good, but after the 2nd round I was pretty sick over the top of the pool. Karen had to drag me through the set kicking and screaming as it hurt so much, but I’m so glad she did and I’m so glad I finished it, as the rewarding feeling was huge.
After swim and gym I had an absolutely LOVELY session with one of my athletes. It really was so wholesome and she had some great questions. Can’t wait to see how she races in the summer meets!
The rest of the day involved sorting something out with the business before a 3hr nap! I haven’t napped like that in a long time! 😅
The late evening I managed to muster up enough social battery to go to see Thor: love and thunder which was awesome, and had a zizzis with abs and amber 😁.
Tomorrow brings the season finale of stranger things, then a sport epic of F1 whilst following the Wimbledon final 😁 oh… and more work on the business with the team! ☺️
