So… it’s been a little while! (3/5/22)

So… hi?!
Just to clarify, I am still blogging, but I have needed abit of time to just be me and not feel the pressure to upload. Things are going well and I just wanted to take abit of time to focus on me first.
Honestly, I’ve been extremely motivated in the pool, and I’m really enjoying my progress with my mentoring. It’s going well, even if sometimes I do feel like abit of an imposter, it’s nice to see the swimmers learning and progressing. The feedback I am getting is all positive and seems to be making a difference.
Today, was a heavy day, and I’ve felt sporadically low, and all over the place. I think it’s probably something to do with doing 3 sessions (2swim and 1gym) on a Tuesday, which for this week only I have done due to the racing this weekend.
It also could be nerves and mental stress of a Tuesday night session these days, short rest fly is enough to induce stress at the highest level! This week featured 2.4K of a3.2k set fly, followed by a tasty gym session. So I’m pretty tired now!
I’m really trying hard not to fall back into bad habits, but my screen time last week showed my slight lack of fluency in my ‘routine’ right now. For the first time this year, my screen time was above 7hrs for a period of a week 😳
I’m not proud of it, but at the same time it’s a learning curve, 7hrs is the re-evaluation point for me. And I’m trying to pinpoint what went right/what can I learn from?
It could also be because I’ve missed 3/7 days of blogs, but that is maybe something smaller… the process I go through when I write my blogs includes once I finish them, writing a to-do list for the next day, so im going to make it my focus to get back on top of these.
