Hectic/sleepy/powerful (13/6/22)

Another day down and another triple day completed!


The day started off great with a lovely swim session and an awesome catch up with a friend who I don’t get to see as much as I’d like anymore! Really started off the day well.


Came home and Abs had kindly cooked my chicken drumsticks up for the week (legend) so I could have lunch before I went to gym and swim again.


After a grand total of 7mins lay down (new version of a power nap??) I was on my way to gym, feeling very groggy, abit dizzy from the haze of the morning, but still feeling pretty strong.


I remember last week in the gym Nathan asked me to do 120’3, a very good weight for me right now, which I achieved but was nervous for! This week, I’m progressing through the weights but from the get go he’s saying I can do 130 (my 1rm for 3)


Now, I can DEFINITELY do it, but it wasn’t to be today, I hit 120’3 and although attempted 130, went down too quick on the first rep and lost it straight away. I know I’m in a good place strength wise so that doesn’t phase me!


The swim in the evening involved 2k fly, which I felt POWERFUL with, I feel I’ve been rushing the stroke recently, so I’ve really made an effort this past 10 days to slow my stroke down, and it showed by the times being there, my stroke and kick counts being 1 lower per 25m too!


All in all, a good day, very happy with my progress, but it’s bed time now. Evening spent watching scrubs and relaxing, I bet my life seems so boring but I really enjoy what I’m doing right now
