Day 63 (and start of kickass week 6/2/22)

It's been a few days! At the backend of last week I was having a few wobbles, and although I was still blogging everyday, I made them shorter and decided to focus solely on myself and Abs this weekend, which was lovely! But I'm glad to be here sharing again.

Last night wasn't the smoothest night of sleep, and I woke up feeling it and feeling very groggy. Some up beat tunes and a F1 podcast soon woke me up and had a good morning of training smart.

A nap was needed after the morning session and my shoulder has still been playing up, so I managed to get a physio session booked in before gym... which made me feel SO confident in the pool.

As we come closer to taper, and to trials. I like to have things as simple as possible. It's too easy with the ups and downs of taper, to overthink and take myself out of the rhythm of training. One of my methods of dealing with this is to have a structure.

I now feel on top of my physio routine and how to handle issues when I am in more pain than other days, and how to adapt.

Swimming in the afternoon was fantastic and as I say in the title, kickass week is in flow. Kickass week is born from the illness last week, so this week my coach and I are doing all we can and swimming well in the process. This is the last push before trials and it's the last push before everything is in motion.

I'm loving training at the moment, and I'm so fired up to get myself, and my squad in the best possible frame of mind for trials, we've trained so damn hard for this, so lets make it worth it.

It's been a while, and I am not making these 'public' in the sense of advertising them on social media for now, if you make your own way...
