Day 33 (5/2/22)

Good day? Topsy turvy day? I don’t really know where to begin with this one.


First, I slept like crap, I’ve been having very fast moving dreams recently, like my brain isn’t willing to slow down, and I think that’s because I’m anxious about the company launch. It’s equal parts exciting as it is terrifying for me. I know it’s good for me as I’m going to really be putting myself out there, but it doesn’t make it much easier 😅


I went to training pretty quick after wake up (damn you 5:30-7:30 sessions) to a very quiet pool. Which meant we could get some high quality work done in the session. Honestly, one of the biggest surprises of this block for me was how I bounced back from a terrible warm up (1:08s for even split free and fly… 🥴) to post my fastest times in this block on a race pace day. Very happy with how I turned my mentality around.


Im glad this block is over now in a sense. On one hand, it’s my FAVOURITE kind of training as it’s max effort, it’s hard… but also, it’s designed to get so much out of you at good quality, but the upcoming block means I can work on my back end speed just as much now also.


After training, had a lovely breakfast with a couple of friends, then, after my nap time, I absolutely crashed! We went to do some shopping and pottering which cheered me up but my patience was waning 😅


Tonight, we had enough time to watch a film and a couple of episodes of black-ish which is our favourite series atm. A couple of bevs helped me relax but have sent me to pass out… at 10:30… on a Saturday! What a wild life to live!
