Day 11 notes (14/1/22)
Today was a slow day to start, but I also kind of enjoyed that! Today, I let myself be abit slower for a couple of hours in the morning, getting mainly medial things done around the house (hanging up washing, washing up etc.) and relaxed. At 12:30, myself and Abs went to Starbucks and this is where the working begun. I immediately planted a 2hr tree to not get distracted (I still do, but at least not by my phone!) and cracked on.
Very proud of myself today as I finished the safeguarding course I was working on and completed a couple of other things on my to do list.
1 thing I normally find very difficult about ‘to do lists’ is that they are normally as long as my arm. This used to freak me out and would not end up being very productive at all as I felt I had to finish it. Nowadays I realise more so that knocking one or two items off the list a day can help keep it managed. If some days I’m very productive and get 3-4 things done, great! If I have a crap day and get 0 things done, that’s fine.
I’m really excited as tomorrow is my first meet back after my shoulder injury! I’m under no illusions that it will be a stepping stone, but I really can’t wait to see where I’m at, and love the experience of racing again! Whatever happens, bring it on! And we’ll learn for the next one 😁
