Camp update and semi-rest day. (22/6/22)


I am tired.


Camp so far has been going great! I’m really happy with how I’ve been around the pool and my swimming, training has been solid and I feel I’m making good progress, but I started to hit a wall today.


It was an odd sensation. I woke up feeling fine, even during pre pool I felt ok, but in the pool my strokes were heavy and I was trying too hard to move through the water.


The other secret to that is, that that is completely normal! I normally get to this stage on a training week, after going back-to-back hard sessions. So I’m completely fine with struggling for a day, and resting ALOT! (Early night plus 1 1/2hr nap in the day) if it means I’ll feel better tomorrow.


We’ve had a great team atmosphere so far, lots of cards playing many different games, last night was no different.


I do feel quite lonely from time to time, but I’ve always got abs to text when I feel like that. I’m looking forward to seeing her again next week


Time to get an early night. My brain likes to go into overdrive when I’m tired so let’s give it some rest
